There was some broken piece rattling inside the chassis, so I had to take it apart to get it out so that it didn't short entire receiver. It ended up being some plastic pieces that I'm guessing was the remnants of the feet because the feet were missing (full disclosure on the feet would have been nice-they're easy to replace). I'm playing a cd player through it now and it's playing well.
