Nick Knight is a man with a past, and it happens to span the centuries. Having become a vampire during the 13th Century, he was responsible for countless human deaths before deciding, in modern-day Toronto, to give up his undead inclinations and pursue redemption and, ultimately, mortality. His guilt leads him to become a homicide investigator, fighting the most brutal criminals of the urban underbelly. However, his own demons might prove an even more dire nemesis, as well as Lucien LaCroix, the vampire who initiated him centuries ago, who is determined that Nick remain a vampire.
