This tv takes 8 c batteries. I will stock up and change them as needed. This was the only tv that had removeable batteries. Most rechargeable tv batteries are built in and don't charge anymore after a few years...then the tv is useless. The antenna it comes with doesn't work...but, hook it up to a house antenna and you get 50+ channels very clear. Dvd and cd work great along with the radio.
