Reviews
"I raced through this book-horrified, laughing out loud, and weeping by turns. I say, let's throw out all the self-help and inspirational books in the country, and put up The Cracker Queen displays instead! Hannon really made me think, and I'm going to whup some ass, too." -Lee Smith, author of The Last Girls and On Agate Hill "Watch out, Paula Deen and Jill Conner Browne! Chock full of unforgettable lines, The Cracker Queen delights again and again as the intrepid Hannon turns her hardscrabble beginnings into a major laugh fest that will leave her readers wanting more. Indeed, they will fall in love - as I did - with Hannon's wit and gutsy take on, well, everything." -Rosemary Daniell, author of Secrets of the Zona Rosa and Fatal Flowers "The heart, soul, and muscle of The Cracker Queen are in the often poignant, often shocking (but always engaging) pieces of Hannon's experiences. But there is more to it than that: there's also the promise of a remarkably gifted writer, one who understands that she is a medium for her environment, and, for readers, that is cause for great celebration." -Terry Kay, author of To Dance with the White Dog and The Book of Marie "Hannon's stories move from country-hick hilarious to poignant and touching." - Savannah Morning News "Lauretta's hilarious depictions of Steel Magnolias everywhere provide perfect proof that the best storyteller-and characters-in the South are women." - White County News, I raced through this book—horrified, laughing out loud, and weeping by turns. - e***s (954)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoNormally, I leave negative feedback for this, but I did have prior knowledge & that would be unfair. Book is in good shape. But photo used in the listing is a stock photo & does NOT represent the item listed. That’s false advertising. Book received has dirt & bleach spots, crayon marks inside. A REAL photo would have shown this. A seller myself, I know it takes just as long to take a real photo of actual item as it does to find a stock photo. I do not regret the purchase, only the methods used.
- 0***t (347)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimo annoAcquisto verificatoi am a vintage magic player looking to get back into the game after over 20 years, this lot caught my eye, every card in the picture was of cards from my era, so I excitedly ordered, when package arrived I was unpleasantly surprised to find that there wasn't a single card from the era, not a card from one of the many sets shown in the picture, I reached out to the seller expressing my disappointment , toId felt like I had been bated with pictures of vintage, no response for days, so here I am.Risposta di: midgadeals- Feedback con risposta del venditore midgadeals.- Feedback con risposta del venditore midgadeals.Customer purchased a lot of 200 random cards. The listing clearly explained and listed what possible cards you may receive but also made it clear that lots do not guarantee any type, deck, year, or anything else for the cards. Customer made an offer nearly 30% off listing price, and once it was accepted started sending messages after message trying to demand certain cards or type of cards be included in his lot. Customer received exactly what he purchased. Nothing more nothing less.200 Vintage and Modern Magic the Gathering Cards - Common/Uncommon/Rare - Foil (N° 315654283902)
