The 5.1-channel Sony DAV-FC9 home entertainment system with DVD player provides a total RMS power output of 650 watts through five 100-watt surround speakers and a 150-watt subwoofer. Each two-way channel contains one tweeter and two woofers. This Sony Home Theater System features Dream Stream digital encoding, which supplies a one-bit 2.8224-MHz sampling rate. The Sony DAV-FC9 home entertainment system is equipped with a slot-style, five-disc DVD player that supports playback for the standard DVDs and CDs, in addition to CD-Rs, CD-RWs, Super Audio CDs, MP3 CDs, and JPEGs, and features progressive scan technology. This Sony Home Theater System has an S-Master full digital amplifier complete with 30-preset AM/FM radio tuner. It has an input for digital audio, as well as a component, S-video and component output. In addition to a bass enhancement function and support for DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding, the Sony Home Theater System also features a digital cinema sound system that digitally recreates different acoustic environments for realistic audio experiences.
