It was very inexpensive when compared to other PVRs and you can even us it to receive satellite programs as long as you have a dish pointed at the correct satellite. I think it is very good value but its instructions are very poor and non existent when it comes to recording and play back. Overall I'd give it about a 7 out of 10.

No 10bit h265 recordings, uses 8bit h264 maybe because Sydney transmission is currently only h264. Tv through hdmi feed looks good but less crisp than my Samsung tv tuner. Not sure if Samsung tuner adds sharpening. Menus aren’t great, can’t delete future timer events. Much smaller than old set top tuners, size of a sandwich. Better option than pc tuner cards and dongles. Overall happy.

The ability to train a button to turn on/off the TV with the same remote is a brilliant touch.
