Replaced both coil and spark plug and my FS 55r still would not work. After testing I found that my old spark plug was the problem so I reinstalled the original coil and used the new spark plug and my weed wacker is back to wacking. So it seems that I could have gotten a bad coil as it would not work with the new spark plug and the old one does. So I would not buy this for use with a FS 55R.

In the sellers ad, the first 2 photos showed no shields and the other 4 photos showed shields. I asked the seller if the filters would be shielded (a simple yes or no answer). Never got an answer, but received a 20% refund and was informed that they were being restocked. The filter arrived today, was exactly what I wanted and arrived in good condition. This purchase was a grab-bag.
