It takes a little force to snap them over the ridge but hold very tight once on. The original tires just fall off. Even though not all of the tires were missing from my original, I replaced the majority of the existing tires with these tires. The backside of the tires are not as smooth as the front but that's not an issue since they can be installed with the smooth side facing out and look great. Great value! The truck can now be displayed with tires!
