Product Information

Before her sister Anne married King Henry VIII, the other Boleyn girl, Mary, was his mistress. Inspired by the best-selling novel by Philippa Gregory, this BBC production tells the scandalous story of Mary Boleyn's love affair against a backdrop of political intrigue. Used as a bargaining chip in family power plays, Mary was eventually cast aside when the notorious monarch turned his attention to her oldest sister. The same scenario is played out in this film starring Natascha McElhone (CALIFORNICATION) as Mary, and in the identically titled 2008 feature film starring Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson.
