I go by Opie Tailor Made, but most people just call me 'O'. I've been producing, writing, and recording local Kansas City rap, hip-hop, and R&B for almost 15 years. In those 15 years, I've seen it all... and yes... I've heard i all, too. All the questions... all the answers... all the reasons... all the mishaps... all the bad luck... all the drama... oh yeah... ALL THE HATING!!! I've seen some of the most talented artists of our generation go un-noticed. I've seen some of the least talented artists of our generation sky-rocket to fame and stardom! I've seen promoters, club owners, DJ's, and radio smother the flame that is Kansas City music! I've dealt with the crooked, the broke, the lame, the liars, the thieves, the fakes, the dreamers, the procrastinators, and everybody in between. It's time for a change; and that change comes now! I am proud to introduce 'I Support My City' - The Exclusive Mixtape Series! I issued a simple challenge to all the local talent I could reach. The message was simple: 'All you have to do is show up!' I will, as a musician, producer, songwriter, recording artist, studio engineer, photographer, graphic designer, promoter, investor, executive director, and manager, complete a full length, 100% original LP featuring any and all artists who are willing to participate! This is a single curtain call, with no rain-checks, no call-backs, and zero restrictions! In 26 days, I worked with 21 different artists in my own private studio. The formula was simple: I will craft you a completely custom instrumental from scratch. No samples. No studio musicians. Just me... banging out whatever you want! While I craft the beat, you write your song. Be creative... because people are going to hear this! You only have one chance to make a first impression! Once you've written your song, you go in the booth and record it. No extra wasted time. No second chances. No looking back. Then, we arrange, mix, re-mix, final mix, and master! The result? A pretty hott fucking project, if you ask me! These artists range from 13-30 years old, rookie to seasoned veteran. Like I said before... no restrictions! I have alot of respect for the artists that have stepped up and accepted this challenge! It's not as easy as it sounds! And if you think it's that easy... hit me up...
