It boasts a variable angle LCD view-screen that can tilt 180 degrees horizontally and 270 degrees vertically. This makes it possible to create self-portraits, shoot over crowds, snap hip-level shots, and produce macro views. For extra convenience, it also allows you to mount it on a tripod. When not in use, the viewfinder conveniently stows away in a face-in configuration. This protects the LCD from preventable damage due to fingerprints, scratches, and other similar hazards. It is bright enough to use outdoors in sunlight and includes an eye-level electronic viewfinder. This EVF works well for those who like taking pictures the old-fashioned way. The Canon PowerShot S3 digital camera includes many types of automated features that can simplify things for those new to photography. It boasts an Auto Focus (AF) function that lets you spend more time composing and less time fiddling with buttons.
