Product Information
Flight Unlimited II is a general aviation simulation that expands on the style and appearance of Flight Unlimited. The sim is based on the San Francisco Bay Area region of Northern California. 11,000 square miles of terrain are realistically presented and 48 real airports may be visited.<br><br>Five different aircraft may be flown, the Piper Arrow, De Havilland Beaver floatplane, Beech Baron twin, P-51 Mustang and the Trainer 172. The player may select numerous options before taking to the air including starting airport/location, weather, and difficulty/realism settings. Communications with traffic controllers are handled through digitzed vocals. All the other sounds you would expect to hear in a real aircraft are there as well. <br><br>A wide range of cockpit switches are accessible to the player including radios, navigation aids, engine controls, and lighting. Numerous inside and outside views are available. The manual covers flight planning, flight maneuvers, night flying and procedures for communicating with traffic controllers. Needless to say this description just touches on the surface of what this simulation has to offer.
