There baggy & just below the knees. Has a 1.5" elastic band with velcro attachments as a belt. Fabric feels durable. Like a thin gortex ski pant. There's a 4" strip of thin spandex type material up the inner part of each leg & through the crotch area. All the grey you see is reflective. Inner liner (shorts themselves) are tight & same thin spandex material with a decent crotch pad.
