Product Information
Ed Moloney's A Secret History of the IRA is the best-informed account yet written of the IRA's evolution from ruthless guerrilla army into governmental party, ruling Northern Ireland alongside its most intransigent former enemies. But reconciliation between political figures who until very recently wished each other dead or in jail has not been accompanied by very much truth-telling about the past. Men who have been to the White House and hob-nobbed with Tony Blair deny that they ever fired a shot in anger, or caused a bomb to be planted. Now, in a truly ground-breaking piece of historical evidence-gathering initiated by Boston College, two former paramilitary leaders - one republican, one loyalist - speak with unprecedented frankness about their role in some of the most appalling violence of the Troubles. Their openness results in a book of shocking and irresistible testimony, their voices set in the context of a narrative by Ed Moloney of their lives and of the society they grew up in.

- a***r (585)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoHappy with purchase, but the book certainly wasn't in very good condition as advertised. Average to reasonably good at best as one of the illustration pages was loose and wouldn't have taken much effort to remove another few.

- c***4 (201)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoThe book arrived in perfect condition well packaged. It was a couple of days later than promised but I think this was a PO problem rather than the seller. A good price and as described. When the seller was contacted as the book had not arrived they immediately replied - could not fault. Would use this seller again.
- u***q (570)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoI buy from this seller all the time and believe them to be the best of the BIG second-hand UK sellers. Comms are excellent and they respond quickly and make a real effort to resolve issues. Pricing is good and descriptions accurate and fair. Postage is free so there won't be any extra packing but I've never had a problem with items damaged in transit.
