These valves, when installed with the coil on top, are great for humidifier flush valves. They will function with gravity feed. Wire them into a timer and they can drain the humidifier pan to provide a daily flush leaving fresh water in the pan. They will leak if installed with the coil sideways or on the bottom.. One full season and no calcium.
