It appears to have been properly packed, wrapped in a double layer of bubble wrap, and packed in an oversized box surrounded by packing "peanuts." It was clearly a case of USPS mishandling. [There was a big dent in the side of the box]. I contacted the seller, sent photos of the damaged item, and was graciously issued a refund.
