The seller went above and beyond, actually called me once I reached out to report the damage and advised me to take up an insurance claim with USPS. This was the best possible outcome. I got a running locomotive at a great price and the seller (non-profit museum) didn’t have to eat a return. Hooray for good old fashioned person to person communication!
