"Sonic Generations" for the Microsoft Xbox 360 console is the 20th anniversary video game release of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. This series is from developers Sonic Team and Dimps. The game is a platformer playable in single player and multiplayer modes. In the game, players control Sonic the Hedgehog. As Sonic, you will solve puzzles and navigate through various stages of the game. Those include Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Speed Highway, City Escape, and Planet Wisp. Together they take on the union of Modern-Eggman and Classic-Eggman. The two villains are trying to sow chaos by manipulating time. That's the root of how the two eras can overlap. It lets the team mix old villains, like Metal Sonic, in with new bosses. It even includes a cameo of Super Sonic. The presentation banks on nostalgia. The music contains many classic themes, both old and remixed. It is done to invoke the player's memories of the older games in the series. The locations work the same way. There are appearances from stages dating back to the first games. "Sonic Generations" was released on November 1, 2011.
