You can feel the wires just like any other electric blanket. Other than that, it is a great item.

Should have just allowed regular shipping, probably would have arrived just as quickly or maybe one day later. The blanket does heat as describe, but the instructions indicate being able to set the timer. So far I have not been able to do so.
