The drive trays are made of plastic and have enough flex to insert the drive into. The outer cage feels very sturdy. Visually it is appealing and looks factory or stock in my older Corsair case. Recommended!

The fit was straight in, with only one minor attachment modification to fully secure it to the Corsair OEM case/frame. This means I now have 3x external drive bays and 4x functional internal hot swap bays for ssd's. This item arrived well before the estimated time of delivery, so simple delighted with cost and effective hardware. Impresive Thank you

The housing is metal, the trays are plastic. My hard drives snap into the trays perfectly and they slide in and out of the housing without fuss. Perfect for what I needed.
