With stated reliability and excellent performance, how can you possibly go wrong?The Cheetah has received Seagate's "AV Professional" stamp of approval, which means that Seagate has fine-tuned this drive to meet the requirements of today's most demanding audio/visual applications. It features embedded-servo technology to eliminate the need to perform periodic recalibration, which slows down data transfer, making this drive ideal for AV applications. Embedded-servo technology gets rid of data interruptions that cause dropped frames in video applications. The Partial Response Maximum Likelihood (PRML) technology keeps data clear from background interference and allows Seagate disk drives to increase areal density (disk capacity), boost transfer speed, improve yield through the drive's ability to self-calibrate and lower disk noise.
