Three CD edition. Digitally remastered and expanded 40th Anniversary edition combines the complete album (2015 remaster) with Rush's 1978 Hammersmith Odeon concert featuring "A Farewell to Kings, " "Something for Nothing, " "Fly by Night, " "Cinderella Man" and more including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. You'll also hear the instrumental outtake "Cygnus X-2 Eh" and these newly recorded covers: "Xanadu" Dream Theater, "Closer to the Heart" Big Wreck, "Cinderella Man" Trews and "Madrigal" Alain Johannes. Also includes a 12, 000 word essay. A Farewell to Kings is the fifth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 1, 1977 by Anthem Records in Canada and by Mercury Records in the United States. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales and was mixed at Advision Studios in London. A Farewell to Kings would eventually become Rush's first US gold-selling album, receiving the certification within two months of it's release, and was eventually certified platinum.
