The dealer told me it would be $800 plus to make 1 spare key and then there was no guarantee that the key would work. I mailed him my key. He mailed me back 2 spares that work PERFECTLY. The Honda dealers are just there to get your money. This guy is truly concerned about customer service (GREAT) at a fair price. Right in the original owners manual they tell you to get more keys because if you lose them all you will be towing your car to the dealer to have a major operation performed. Technology advancements have brought down the price some, the dealership would replace my key for 750$ plus tax, and I still had to tow them the car. I found this out bec the security light on the dash would not go out with the key on. I was not 100% sure that it was the key because I still had the original chipped key and it just randomly quit working. I found this listing on eBay and decided I’d message for some advice. We talked for a little bit and ended up sending my ecu and key to him to have it checked. Turns out it was the key. He made me a new one and sent it back.
