The 50-millimeter focal length and super spectra coating gives you smooth focusing and sharp contrasts for brilliant photos. The lens delivers professional results when snapping photos of people and scenery, and the large aperture comes in handy for low-light conditions. The lens contains eight diaphragm blades, a minimum aperture setting of f/16, and a minimum focusing distance of 1.5 feet. The maximum magnification is rated at 1:6.9, and 55-millimeter filters can be attached to the lens for special effects. The Canon lens weighs 11 ounces.
