Jay Sherman (voiced by Jon Lovitz) is a New York film critic who hates most of the films he has to review. To top it all off, he's balding, divorced, and his personal life is a shambles. But fortunately, his relationships with his 11-year-old son, Marty, and his unlikely best friend, a hunky Australian movie star--not to mention the endless thrills of the city--help keep him together.
