I ordered a 4 yard tartan, it measures 12 ft by 50 inches, 1 foot too short and 4 inches narrower than the 54inch minimum for a Great Kilt. I can get it wrapped around me but especially the narrow width makes it unsuitable for wearing in traditional Great Kilt styles. Shipping was nearly the same as the tartan's cost, and USA tarriffs were that much again, meaning returning the tartan would only give me 1/3 of my money back.
