Kingsolver deftly combines real history and the life of the fictional protagonist.A sweeping tale., Shepherd's story in Kingsolver's accomplished literary hands is so seductive, the prose so elegant, the architecture of the novel so imaginative, it becomes hard to peel away from the book, A sweeping mural of sensory delights and stimulating ideas about art, government, identity and history…Readers will feel the sting of connection between then and now., The most mature and ambitious [novel] she's written. An absorbing portrayal of American life.A rich novel [with] a large, colorful canvas.A tender story about a thoughtful man., Masterful...a reader receives the great gift of entering not one but several worlds...The final pages haunt me still., Compelling.Kingsolver's descriptions of life in Mexico City burst with sensory detail-thick sweet breads, vividly painted walls, the lovely white feet of an unattainable love., A lavishly gifted writer... I ordered three items from this seller, and one was damaged in transit (the seller is not at fault for this). However the seller very quickly righted everything, communicating with me the entire time. The other two items were in perfect condition, arrived on time, and were exactly as described. They were very quick to fix what was wrong, and were very polite about the entire thing. I will be buying from them again in the future.

The seller Orion Tech LLC is one of my occasional shopping sites. This purchase I had a problem, the only one so far. The books were packed well, shipped quickly and just as described. But this was not the book I ordered. I sent two photos of the book received and the ISBN code and I received a prompt refund. I bought two books the third book was free! I am still delighted being an Orion Tech Books customer and will be shopping at Orion Tech Books in the future. Thank you.
