After good communication, the seller offered a partial refund which I though was fair given the minimal damage. Decent value, this item is hard to find, the quality is good, its made out of a standard resin composite, and it looks great, but whatever hit the box must have been severe. Packaging could have been better, but again, overall satisfied.
