Slightly long by about 1/4 inch but seals off nicely when the seal is added. You can see where the seal was added and where it has to go. You have to double the seal on the core part to match the outside edges. You also have to be precise if you use a 1/2 wide seal like I did or go wider. The seal I used is for BB-Q smokers.
