Product Information
An updated remake of Dig Dug, the 1982 arcade classic, Dig Dug Deeper is an action-oriented title developed specifically for Windows-based PCs, and designed to provide home computer gamers with the same style of play as the original. The game finds the title character digging tunnels in search of Pookas and Fygars, and blowing up the subterranean monsters with a pump or by dropping boulders on them. <br><br>The action is divided into worlds, and the graphics have been revamped to give the game more of a 3D look. However, other than brief surface zones, which serve as a transition between underground levels, gameplay remains 2D. Also new are a number of special boulders that explode, catch fire and release flowing lava, and a variety of power-ups, such as faster boots, a faster pump and a more powerful pump. These special powers may prove essential in this rendition of the game because some of the Pookas take more pumps to blow up, and some of the Fygars can fire upward, downward, and around corners.
