A founding member of the Impressions (born in '57, it was one of the most popular R&B acts for more than a decade), Mayfield later moved onto a solo career that pioneered funk and socially conscious soul music. Following raves for New World Order (his 1st album in 6 years), Curtis remains an inspired contemporary artist. Written and produced by Mayfield, these 16 tracks (12 on cassette) cover the first 2 decades of his solo work.
