"Card's prose is powerful." -- Publishers Weekly "This is a worthy ending to what might be styled a saga of the ethical evolution of humanity, a concept seldom attempted before and never realized with the success Card achieved here." -- Booklist, "Orson Scott Card has apparently swallowed science fiction whole." -- The New York Times "One of the greats of contemporary science fiction and fantasy." -- The Wall Street Journal "Orson Scott Card is as fine a writer as we have." -- The Los Angeles Times "[Orson Scott] Card is a writer of compassion." -- The Washington Post "The best writer science fiction has to offer." -- The Houston Post

Synopsis
Children of the Mind is the fourth book in New York Times bestslling author Orson Scott Card's classic science fiction The Ender Saga--newly repackaged. The planet Lusitania is home to three sentient species: the Pequeninos; a large colony of humans; and the Hive Queen, brought there by Ender. But once again the human race has grown fearful; the Starways Congress has gathered a fleet to destroy Lusitania. Jane, the evolved computer intelligence, can save the three sentient races of Lusitania. She has learned how to move ships outside the universe, and then instantly back to a different world, abolishing the light-speed limit. But it takes all the processing power available to her, and the Starways Congress is shutting down the Net, world by world. Soon Jane will not be able to move the ships. Ender's children must save her if they are to save themselves. - r***a (623)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoI bought this as a gift for a friend whose hobby is collecting and reading books about American organized crime. He’s sure to enjoy this book, as it not only tells the story of Frank Nitti’s career as Al Capone’s enforcer, but later developments and connections not previously known. Near new condition, first class quality of writing, fine appearance accurately described, swift reasonable shipping, careful packaging, excellent value. A first class vendor.
