Grace Livingston Hill weaves a timeless tale that any parent would find helpful in assessing where their own family stands and the need for the teaching of Biblical truths to our children. The characters leap from the book with such strength that I literally found myself speaking to them about their behavior, or chiding them for their blindness to the truth. The author's setting descriptions are so vivid you could feel the cold wrapping around you, dragging you into the world of wintry Vermont in the 1920's. Her character descriptions through the dialogue and their actions really brought them to life. All in all, the writing in this book is better than any other book I've read by Grace Livingston Hill.
