The box arrived damaged, likely because USPS does not take extra precautions. This is exactly why the painting should have been shipped in a tube, as it should be. As a result, the painting arrived twisted and wrinkled, and we’re unsure if it can even be properly stretched for framing. We contacted the seller, but they offered no apology and have not responded. Rolling the canvas small enough to fit in a tube would have destroyed it. It was placed in a rectangular box, gently rolled and fully insured. The damaged was caused by USPS. I informed the buyer that he needed to have it inspected by USPS, hopefully he saved the damaged box or pictures of it, in order for me to file a claim.
