The fourth series of the TV police drama sees a new captain, Monica Rawling (Glenn Close), begin a radical overhaul of her department and attempt to take down a major drug lord. The controversial themes and violent nature of the content manage the effect--inconsistent at best in TV programming--of making audiences really think about what they're watching.
