Send the Autobot leader Optimus Prime and his fellow heroic Robots in Disguise fleeing for shelter with Hasbro’s Ultra Onslaught action figure, part of the company’s Transformers Universe line of toys. Onslaught is a deadly combination of brains and brawn, a master war strategist and brain power behind the massive and mighty Bruticus. This leader of the Transformer Combaticon team of Combiners could merge with his fellow war machines to form the gargantuan Bruticus. From the first generation of the franchise’s animated series to the live action Transformer films by Michael Bay, Onslaught and his fellow Transformer Combaticon Combiners are found fighting alongside Megatron and his Decepticon army as Bruticus in their war to conquer the universe. The Transformers’ long history makes this toy Decepticon Onslaught a great addition to any collection, for Transformers fans of all ages. The Transformers Onslaught features intricate details that bring both his interchangeable modes to life, such as electronic light and sound features that add a great level of immersion to play time, and a number of accessories pulled straight from his animated clashes with the Autobots. The Hasbro Transformers Universe Ultra version of the Combaticon Onslaught captures the look of the character’s Generation 1 appearances in the original Transformers animated series. Attempting to build his own evil Transformer army behind Megatron’s back, the treacherous Decepticon second-in-command Starscream brought a number of Earth military vehicles to life using the stored thoughts and memories of imprisoned, renegade war criminals from Cybertron. Led by Onslaught, these violent Transformer Combaticons assembled to form Bruticus, a terrifying and nearly unstoppable giant. Though originally loyal to Starscream, Bruticus and his individual robot parts were soon reprogrammed to answer only to Megatron, adding a terrible weapon to the Decepticon arsenal. Onslaught and his fellow Transformer Combiner Combaticons are sent time and again, either individually or in their ultra-deadly Bruticus mode, to terrorize the Autobots. Onslaught is presented here separate from his fellow Combaticon Combiners, with a highly detailed and fun-to-play-with toy that focuses more on an authentic reproduction of Onslaught himself, without making sacrifices in its design to accommodate the ability to form the larger Bruticus Transformers character. In vehicle mode, the Transformers Onslaught races across the battlefield with real roaring engine sounds as a heavily armed, six-wheeled S.W.A.T. truck, featuring flashing lights and a screeching siren. Combaticon Onslaught’s top-mounted twin laser cannons rotate a full 360 degrees and feature action-packed machine gun sound effects. When his Autobot enemies are near, and his fellow Combaticons are not ready to form Bruticus, the Decepticon Onslaught rises to the challenge in full robot mode with a few easy twists, turns, and bends of the truck’s plastic components. Block incoming attacks with his heavy battle shield, then fire back with either his handheld blaster rifle or his back-mounted cannons. Alone, the Transformers Combaticon Onslaught is a terrible foe, made all the more dangerous by his role as the heart and mind of Bruticus. This depiction of Onslaught from the Transformers Universe Ultra line does him justice as a large and imposing figure, which gives the leader of the Combaticons a tough and rugged appearance in either of his forms.
