The problem is the tool fitting is ever so slightly too large for a 2001 Ranger U-joint fitting. This one should have fit perfectly, which tells me manufacturer tolerance is off. Not the seller's fault, but I'd warn against ordering. I spent 2 hours slamming out U-joints with a socket and hammer instead of a nice easy removal with the tool I ordered.
