Even a striking action figure can become a LEGO creation. You can try it for yourself with the LEGO Bionicle Glatorian Gresh 8980 set. With this kit, you can build a mighty warrior from the Jungle Tribe of Spherus Magna. This set contains all of the required pieces to build a 7-inch-tall action figure. There are 55 pieces total in this set. The figure comes with the character's own original armor, including his vine mask. He also comes with his double-sided, razor-blade edged shield and his Thornax launcher. Since the toy is fully articulated, he's ready to pose for display or active play. After you build Gresh, pose him in any desired positions. You can set him in a fierce stance for display, or you can maneuver him into an action pose to recreate your favorite LEGO Bionicle scenes.Gresh is Secondary Glatorian of the Jungle Tribe of the twin villages of Tesara. He is the youngest Glatorian to be employed on the desert planet Bara Magna. He is second only to Vastus, one of the founders of their system. A fierce opponent in any battle, Gresh is known for his speed, ability, and strength. His signature move is a back flip to avoid taking a blow. Then, while in mid-air, he'll fire off his spiked Thornax launcher.Gresh is also known for acting first and thinking later. He prefers to handle a dispute by fighting rather than talking it out, and with his power and skills, he can afford to do so. He has a near-encyclopedic awareness of battle moves in the arena. Despite that, however, he tends to rely on the same few favorites. He also tends to get himself into dire situations, but he gets himself out of them just as well. Despite being considered reckless among the Glatorians, he keeps a clear head in combat. His decision-making prowess during a crisis is very respectable.With these LEGO toys handy you can relive some of Gresh's greatest battles. Play out the time Skrall tried to kill him or when Mata Nui bestowed his elemental powers upon him. Create new war games in the arena against fellow Glatorians, like Kiina, Gelu, or Ackar. Show your friends the story of how he and his team defeated the Rahkshi with help of the Golden Armor. Show how he and Tahu battled before realizing themselves to be allies, or tell of the time when the Glatorians teamed up with the Toa to fight villains like the Piraka.The LEGO Gresh Bionicle was released in January of 2009. In addition to all the necessary pieces, the container pack also includes full-color illustrated instructions as a detailed guide for building the figure. It also contains a Life Counter for use in the related Bionicle game. This LEGO Bionicle set is recommended for ages 7 to 16. However, whether you're 9 or 99 years old, building LEGO sets is a good way to unleash your creative juices.
