The Voigtlander Nokton 50 mm f/1.5 aspherical lens features f/1 to f/16 apertures with half-stop click stops. The f/1.5 minimum aperture allows plenty of light to enter the lens, which provides an additional boost to the lighting in your photos. While the lens is capable of switching between f/1 to f/16, you receive the best results when shooting no wider than f/2 with a subject that is in the 3 to 8 range. The 50/1.1 is a good match for all Leica M-mount cameras but does not pair well with a shorter rangefinder base. Short rangefinder baselength cameras can’t focus 50mm lenses accurately and consistently. Pairing your Voigtlander Nokton 50 mm f/1.5 aspherical lens with the proper Leica M-mount camera ensures beautiful image quality every time you look through the viewfinder, even with the f-stop wide open.
