My personal bike is a CRF450R and I run Renthal sprockets, so thought I'd reply with some possible causes. I'd check your wheel alignment as that polishing/chewing look on the side of the teeth often happens when the wheel isn't running perfectly straight. The chain then runs at a slight angle and cuts into the side of the teeth. I don't rely on the axle block marks as they are often out. I suspect the rear sprocket is the result of an issue.
