This live performance offers a remarkable interpretation of one of the most romantic opera's from the 19th century, BORIS GODUNOV. Special attention is paid to the history of Russia's Bolshoi Theatre, in which the production takes place, and the set design is identical to that used in the 1814 original. The ensemble cast also helps with the sense of history in this beautifully rendered story by wearing the same costumes as those worn by the original cast.
