Tested it on tapes I have used on my previous Dictaphone which is the same model (Olympus Pearlrecorder J300). The recording worked but not in the Voice Activated mode, and the sound is tinny resembling Micky Mouse. For the price, it is still value for money.

Was concerned it may not arrive in time for a birthday (I queried the dispatch time ebay provided after purchase had been made and askedwhether a bank holiday might slow delivery) It came in planty of time and the vendor had promptly responded and allayed my fears, was I wasn't anxiously waiting.
