Note del venditore: “Rare, hard to find pattern 4'4" x 10'9" ft clean hand knotted antique worn authentic Caucasian rug ... “Rare, hard to find pattern 4'4" x 10'9" ft clean hand knotted antique worn authentic Caucasian rug (very early 1900s estimate south caucas / caucasian regions ). The rug has been professionally cleaned. No stains, tears, holes, animal or smoke. There is some antique wear or low pile over the century, buy if ok, great value and will last another century. Double tied knots upon two foundation layers for another century of durability. Red from pomegranate madder root and vermilion, dark to light blue from indigo grape lilac hyacinth and centaurea cyanus, brown earths, wheats and tans from larkspur and weld. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called 'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance. Legitimate historical weight, Old World quality, lifetime value and beauty. Will maintain or exceed value if kept in same condition. See all images.”
