"If you're remotely interested in the T-54, just like Russian armour anyway, or you just have an interest historically in the period, then I would hugely recommend this title to you. [...] This is an absolutely excellent title, definitely a must-have as far as armour modellers are concerned, and so it comes heartily recommended by me." -- Geoff Coughlin, Scale Modelling Now "With high production standards, copious photos and inside details from Soviet sources, [ Soviet T-54 ] is a great guide to one the Soviet Union's best tanks." -- The Armourer, January 2019 "It's going to become a military vehicle enthusiast's standard reference work on the T-54. Synopsis
The T-54 tank was one of the iconic symbols of Soviet military power in the early years of the Cold War. Whether prowling down the streets of Eastern European capitals or manoeuvring across fields in massive exercises, its sleek and unmistakable shape was a warning to any nation that dared to stand against the USSR. Yet the T-54 was a product of World War II-era design philosophy, and so by the time it came up against Western armoured vehicles in proxy wars in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, it often ended up on the losing side. This authoritative study brings together many strands of modern Russian archival research on this iconic tank to tell the complete story of the T-54 in Soviet Army service, including many previously unheard-of variants. More than 500 stunning contemporary and modern photographs, as well as detailed colour profile and cutaway artwork, are included to show every detail of one of the most widely produced tanks of all time. Book jacket., A highly illustrated study of the T-54 Main Battle Tank and its variants that formed the backbone of the Soviet Army during the years of the Cold War., The menacing silhouette of the T-54 tank prowling down streets of Eastern European capitals or roaring across fields in massive exercises remains one of the most enduring images of Soviet power in the early years of the Cold War. Its sleek and unmistakable shape was a warning to any nation that wanted to stand against the USSR. Yet all of this masked a flawed, outdated design, and when T-54s began to clash with the Western armored vehicles in proxy wars in Southeast Asia and the Middle East they were found to be on the losing side of many of the battles. Containing 130 stunning contemporary and modern photographs, and written by two experts on Soviet armor, this authoritative book tells the complete story of the T-54, one of the most widely produced tanks of all time, including many previously unheard of variants.

- g***9 (26)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoThe item came as described was packaged pretty good book was in good shape, just as the description described. I tried to contact seller twice and never got a response other then that the transaction went pretty good if seller tried harder to answer questions i would have given a 5 star review but because i had trouble getting in contact with him, and still haven’t heard from them and book is already delivered ill leave a 4 star review i would recommend this seller
- r***r (9)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoJust as described, book is in a very good condition besides minor folds but that was expected. The only complaint is that the packaging was ripped, thankfully it didn’t rain by the time it got delivered bc otherwise it would’ve been damaged. Good product overall.
