Synopsis
EVERY YEAR THOUSANDS OF MEN father children later placed for adoption or donor-conception. Some of them thought they would forget. Some claim they never knew. There are several million of these secret fathers in the United States alone-in The Birth-Fathers' Club series eight of them are about to get a knock on the door.ONE NIGHT two dissimilar men meet in a dark lounge and leave with the other's darkest secret. Clay Dennen appears to be a family man and seasoned North American executive but he's had unfinished business since the fall of Saigon. Ryuji Kato, the sharp-witted, married executive producer of the top morning show in Japan releases his lover and their child to an uncertain future in America. See how their stories from a desert city by the sea ravel and recombine., Advanced praise for From a Desert City by the Sea: "The suspense of the search and DNA was intriguing... so haphazard at first then so coldly exacting in the end....Michele has managed to weave secret adoption, reunion and the forgotten role of birth-fathers into a work of art that reads like a murder mystery. Archaic closed adoption laws lay the groundwork but love and the power of DNA steal the show." MAJ Peter W. Franklin (Ret.) RPh, AdopteesWithOutLiberty.com /AWOL "This captures it perfectly." Michael Hering, father of two, parent of one "[T]he story [is] engaging, the writing fluid...real characters." Ridghaus, "Six Word Adoption Memoirs", Adoptee Voices Writing Group "AWESOME!" Rob Manzanares, a father in "The Red Pill" documentary on men's rights

- 9***k (1219)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoUnfortunately the seller decided to ship the item in a padded envelope. An inexpensive stiff cardboard envelope would have been far more adequate. Item arrived with unsightly creases almost everywhere, very different from the ad picture. Item condition was rated very good. I would rate what arrived as fair. Given the result, the eBay GSP shipping fee of US $21.91 is inadequate but in my opinion that is the seller's fault. Not seeking a refund. Definitely not recommended.Tragedy September 11 2001 Special Memorial Edition, Editorial Staff, NYC Pub. (N° 226371919134)
