HOWEVER, they are not waterproof, rainproof or repel rain. My dogs walk 1.5 to 2 hours every day regardless of the weather. I was looking for a rain coat that would keep them dry. NOT! I understand that they would not come home totally dry but I expect them to be a bit dryer than without a coat. That is not so with these coats. Their backs were soaked. My dogs are Cocker Spaniels. I went for a XL which fit perfect.
