They work fine. I bought the second one because my own ethernet socket on my laptop appears to have been damaged by the previous owner and I don't feel like trying to replace it. They have a Broadcom BCM57762 chip inside and work in Linux without loading firmware files. I'm using it right now to send this review.

The MOBO Ethernet blew on my laptop and the Sonnet Presto GigE that I previously purchased exploded when I dropped my laptop... getting a brand new Sonnet Presto GigE has proven to be difficult. This GigE card came, still in its wrappers. It came quickly. It's 100% compatible with Win10. I was so happy with the experience, that I had to buy a second... just in case this one has the same end as my first one.... Shipping time was great... it was shipped within hours of placing order
