The handles are black and the metal tongs in the handle that give it it's bounce/less stress on hands and more ease as using them are not there. Thankfully it was still a convex and I can still use them but will have to replace them in a few months when I make some money back from jewelry making. I had a feeling this was too good a deal for them. Seller did offer to refund me half the price. Shipping was fast but they need to update the image.
