Synopsis
Early on 1 September 1914, the Germans surprised 1st Cavalry Brigade harboring in the little town of Néry. Their initial bombardment caused chaos and destruction and the British took time to organize themselves. The actions of two batteries of the Royal Horse Artillery were eventually so successful that even today there is a battery known as Néry Battery RHA. The Queen's Bay's a cavalry regiment, charged in classic style and the Germans, who mistakenly thought they were out numbered, withdrew with heavy casualties.Of the three VCs, two were posthumous. While a small engagement by later Great War standards, Néry is a classic case study of an artillery duel and cavalry action., Early on 1 September 1914, the Germans surprised 1st Cavalry Brigade harboring in the little town of N ry. Excellent transaction. Items were beautifully packaged. I must add that Seller went above and beyond with the packaging. The items were packed as such to allow for no kind of movement if tossed or tumbled through the shipping process. I think the books would have survived repeated stomps of an elephant. That kind of care is appreciated and encourages future business. The items are as described. Seller offers combined shipping. I very highly recommend Seller to the entire ebay community. A+A+A+A+

This seller is experienced. The books I ordered arrived undamaged because the packaging was performed properly. The shipping fee was appropriate, as the seller combined shipping for my three books. The books were a great value.
