The one purchased before this one I am using as a mobile antenna. No need to seal the antenna, just drill a very small hole in the bottom of the base for water drainage. I had an antenna similar to this one years ago made by a ham in Texas back in the late 80's. This one is better than the others because of what I call the slip ring to tune and using copper wire. Fine coil for the price guys good product!

This is a well made product, tuned up as described and works well with a Faraday cloth magic carpet in place of radials. Excellent value for the money. At this price point, it's worth it to buy two and tune one for 80m and one for 40m.
